MIAMI EAST FFA- SAE PROJECT

An affiliation with Frosty Meadow Husky Farm, Zach's Huskies is an SAE project for Miami East High School FFA in Casstown, OH.  The SAE project is an annual assignment for each student in the FFA organization.  The purpose of the project is to educate each student on owning and operating a for-profit business to learn about the work that goes into it, as well as the expenses, the sales aspects, and ultimately the profits and losses.  Any profits are encouraged to go toward the child's college education, and scholarships and awards can also be earned on the local, state, and national level for the highest achievers.

My name is Zachary Kronenberger.  As a Sophomore at Miami East High School, and active member of the Miami East FFA, I have decided to learn more about the business of breeding Huskies.  I have been helping my parents run their business, Frosty Meadow Husky Farm, but have never really participated in all of the aspects of running the business.  From the day-to-day care and the breeding process, to the sales and paperwork involved.  Throughout this project, my hope is to fully understand what it takes to run a dog breeding business, as well as earn money toward my college education.
